BILLY JOEL has been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), which affects hearing, vision, and balance. NPH is a rare brain disorder where excess cerebrospinal fluid builds up in the brain ventricles. His condition was revealed after a checkup, following a fall on stage on February, 22, 2025 at the Mohegan Sun Resort, while performing 'live' (see video, February blog). At 76 years of age, doctors have advised him to refrain from performing at this time while undergoing treatment. Upcoming scheduled concerts have all been canceled with automatic ticket refunds. Canceled concerts include all his 2025 shows in New York (Yankee Stadium, CitiField) New Jersey (MetLife Stadium) along with performances in New Orleans, Toronto, Santa Clara, Salt Lake City, Washington D.C., and Liverpool.
