After BILLY JOEL played a surprise show at the 1,500 seat Paramount Theater in Huntington, Long Island, N.Y., tour dates are beginning to surface for 2014. No offical announcement has been made but, a January 7th, 2014 date has been set at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. This is BILLY JOEL's usual MO for launching a tour. BILLY JOEL hasn't toured the USA since 2010. After that, he took time off to recover from double hip replacement surgery and reappeared last year at the 12.12.12 benefit for victims of Superstorm Sandy. And earlier this year, he played at the New Orleans Jazz Festival and the Soundwave Festival in Australia. And this October / November, he heads to England and Ireland for a four-show tour.
